Kimberly B. Robel, at the age of 53, has passed from her Struggle with Pancreatic Cancer at 5:30 am, July 7th, 2011. Kim was at the time being well cared for at the Fort Myers Hope Hospice, where she was surrounded by her Husband, Son, (3) Sisters, Father & Attendant Family Members.
In the year of 1957, Kim was born Kimberly Ann Wellert as an identical twin, to Fredrick & Barbara Wellert, whereas she attended Lincoln Way H.S. in Chicago's South Side, New Lennox Area, and still holds a High Jump Record of over 30 years. Kim graduated, married, and had her Son, 'Albert' to Albert Beknke in 1978. Kim became involved in New Lennox Business, and rec'd accolades for her work with Frankfort Women's, Chamber of Commerce.
In 1990 Kim moved to Fort Myers with her son, where she met and engaged Greg Robel, a Local General Contractor. Kim immediately started and operated the 'Bloomin Nails' Nail Salon where she was proud to serve many Seasonal & Local Clients. Bloomin Nails was voted News Press' "BEST OF FT. MYERS NAIL SALONS" 9 of 10 years. The off year 'Bloomin Nails' was awarded 'Runner-Up'.
Kim Married Greg in June of 1996, has since become a Realtor for Amerivest Real Estate, and Thoroughly Enjoyed her Nail & Facial Services she provided at THE SPA, located at Tween Waters Resort in Captiva Island, where she utilized her many years of service in the industry.
Kim is survived by her Husband, Sister Lisa & Father whom all reside in Ft. Myers; her Son Al & His wife Breann now reside in Chicago; her Twin Kathy, 'older' sister Lynn whom both reside in Southern California; and numerous loving Nieces & Nephews from across America.
Kim would like you to know She LOVED her Family & Friends, and she would invite you to have a glass of wine in remembrance of her!!
A celebration of Kim's life will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 11:30 A.M. at the Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, Florida 33913. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery. Info, call (239)334-4880.
