BECKY BAREFOOT'S BAREFOOT GENEALOGY AT http://www.beckfoot.info

If you have not taken a look at Becky Barefoot's website of family genealogy, please do.  She is always willing to make corrections or add your lines if they are missing and you submit them.  While she features many of her family names on her website, she also has a large Barefoot Family section.  She is an excellent and precise researcher with documentation, and she probably has the most complete online Barefoot Family site. Here is just a teaser of the kinds of things you will find on her website:

"1. Samuel BAREFOOT. Documentary evidence, consisting of primary and secondary sources, exists proving my lineage from Benjamin Barefoot (see #4 below) forward. However, it is only a preponderance of evidence, based on geography, time and shared occupations, religions, etc., that leads me back one more generation to Samuel Barefoot.

I believe that Benjamin’s parents were Samuel Barefoot and Jean/Jenny Palmer. Samuel was found on the tax list for Union Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania in 1759. The minimum age for inclusion for tax purposes was 21, making 1738 the latest he could have been born. His marriage to Jean/Jenny Palmer is confirmed through records for Amityville Church (later St. Paul’s – Reformed and Lutheran), Amity Township, Berks County, citing the christening of their son John, 16 October 1768. (Amity Township borders on Union and Douglas Townships in Berks County."
